We’re highlighting our playful and spring-like Under the Sea collection this week (and having a SALE!), so we got some of our dear friends together for a photoshoot last weekend. Can I just say how grateful I am for such generous (and photogenic) friends? We just let the kids run in an open space near our house, and they were instantly adorable.
I know it doesn’t feel like spring everywhere yet, but it’s coming! Spring has definitely sprung here, and Saturday was a perfect day for running around in some fresh organic cotton digs. In this photo, we’re showing our Ella Dress on the littlest, our Boy’s Skater Shirt, the fabulous Goodship Dress by One Girl Circus, and our Super Simple Skirt in Under the Sea. I also tried out Olive Ann’s Geo Dress Pattern, shown below, which was fun and easy to sew, and is a great way to show a few different prints that go well together (like our Octopus Party, Kelp Forest and Scallop!)
I know I’ve mentioned my favorite tree before – this beautiful old Live Oak in the open space where I hike in the mornings – and it was the gorgeous backdrop to many of these photos. It’s branches are thick and worn, bowing down to rest on the ground before swooping back up again, which, of course, makes it ideal for climbing.
Our Go Fish print works perfectly with our On the Go Dress pattern, shown above. We’re also working on a new sewing pattern, the saucy two-tiered ruche skirt shown below in Octopus Party and Scallop. It’s great for showing off coordinating prints, and looks good with boots or spring sandals. What do you think?
If you’re ready to get started on your spring sewing hop on over to our site and check out our Under the Sea Sale!

9 years agoI just saw a post on “Beyond the Creek” Blog that said there was going to be a new organic fabric store opening in Walnut Creek. I just knew it was you! So very happy to hear that news! I live in Walnut Creek, and have to go through the tunnel for good fabric, so this is wonderful news. I have an Etsy shop where I make children’s clothing and your shop will be so handy to source from 🙂 Good luck with the moving and opening up.

I’m so glad to hear that! I can’t believe the word is already out – I’m putting up a “coming soon” sign tomorrow. 🙂
